FAQ's
What does a guided fly fishing trip include?
Each guided trip includes professional instruction, access to some of Alberta’s most productive waters, and all the essential gear — rods, reels, flies, and more. Snacks and drinks are provided to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable day on the river.
Do I need prior fly fishing experience?
Not at all. Whether it’s your first time holding a fly rod or you’re looking to improve your technique, I’ll guide you every step of the way to make sure your experience on the water is both enjoyable and rewarding.
What should I bring for the trip?
Be sure to bring weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and a valid Alberta fishing license. You’re welcome to use your own gear if you like, but I provide everything you need for the day — with the exception of waders, which are best kept personal for hygiene.
When is the best time for fly fishing in Alberta?
The prime fly fishing season in Alberta runs from late spring to early fall. Each season offers unique opportunities, from trout during the summer to more active fishing during cooler months. Contact us to discuss the best time based on your goals.
Can I book a custom trip or group outing?
To ensure safety and a comfortable experience, river trips are limited to four participants. Larger groups may find backcountry fishing challenging, but we can always enjoy a full day fishing along a lake — still fun, relaxing, and rewarding.
